The AI-generated art that you will find here is, let’s say, different than usual.

That’s because the world of generative images has been mostly taken by two types of creations:

• Hyperrealistic images generated by Midjourney, which are being mainly used as a replacement to stock photos and serve to illustrate social media posts and online articles
• Artistic images that have a futuristic, cyberpunk aesthetic flavour – they’re what some people would call the creepy AI-generated art

To be completely honest, some images in this set can be considered creepy too (see “Fading Man” and “Sinister Sisters”). But there are several others which show that AI (more specifically, in this case, DALL-E) is able to reproduce a wide range of styles. “Melted Love”, for example, is a fine cross hatching work. “3D Tension” and “Abstract Garden” are pieces of geometric abstraction, whilst “Tranquility” and “The Jazz Musician” could easily have been made by a skilled watercolor painter.

In common, these images have the fact that they are unique (identical prompts won’t retrieve identical results) and created by artificial intelligence.
